Natural Environment Teaching
Natural Environment Teaching (NET) methods involve using the motivation of the child (by incorporating skills of interest areas) to learn new and socially significant skills. A practitioner will observe the learner in their everyday environment and deliver skills training in the moment. NET is frequently used with individuals who are on the autism spectrum as a way to promote the generalization of skills across people and treatment environments.Â
