Discrete Trial Teaching

Discrete Trial Teaching

Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) methods involve breaking down complex skills into simplified steps and providing the individual learner with an opportunity to learn new skills systematically. Consider this method of teaching a “building block method,” that helps to expand the learner’s developmental repertoire. As skill elements are mastered, they are linked together with more advanced skills, then followed by reinforcement as each task is performed to criterion.
